Caedis Tribe Camp Layout
A blackened crater surrounded by cliffs is where the tribe calls home. This land has been named the Chasm. The Chasm feeds off into a canyon on nearly all sides offering a sufficient defense. Here the earth is fissured and cracked, revealing bubbling streams and pools of water that are rust-colored. The water is rich with minerals and has a constant bloom of bioluminescent algae. When movement is present the algae lights the waters a brilliant shade of red. The center of the camp features a semi-shallow, pit, surrounded by stones. where spars, challenges and pit fights take place. There are various outcroppings and caves along the cliffs where the tribe seeks shelter. There is the prison, Council chambers, nursery, dens for the Druid, novices and other tribe ranks. Underneath the charred lands is a set of tunnels known as the Catacombs where it feeds into a narrow passage that leads to the Subterranean Inferno. On the outskirts of the camp within the looming canyon walls is a large bonfire where the deceased are laid to rest.
Council ChambersAgainst the back wall of the Chasm is a cavern with branching tunnels. This is the Council Chambers, where most members of the council rest. There is a main room at the entrance with thrones where members of the Council will sit.
Sire & Dame ChamberThe deepest chamber is where the Sire and/or Dame sleeps. This is their own, personal space that is off-limits to most unless told otherwise.
Heir ChamberRight before the Sire/Dame's room is a small chamber dedicated to the Heir. It is where they rest and may retire at the end of the day.
Duke & Duchess ChamberDown one the secondary tunnel of the Council Chambers at the far end is where the Duke or Duchess rests.
Druid DenOn the East side of the Chasm is the Druid Chambers. There are three sections in the cavern. One is dedicated to the Druid, the other for menders and the final is a small prison aclove.
NurseryThe nursery cavern is at the North-East corner of the charred camp. It's here where the whelps, their guardians and nursing mothers live.
Subordinate DenBelow the Druid Chamber on the East side of the Chasm is where the normal, subordinate ranks rest. There are various nests and rocky outcroppings for perching.
Novice DenDirectly next to the subordinate cave is the novice den. Here the younger tribe members who are training rest and lay their heads.
The PitIn the center of the Chasm is a shallow pit, simply known as the Pit. It's here where the Cadis will spar, fight and do other rituals.
Catacomb Entrancein the North-West corner of the camp is the entrance to the Catacombs. The tribe often decorate the area with offerings as a sign of respect.
PrisonAlong the cliffs of the West portion of the Chasm is a large cavern. There are various dug out alcoves here, fashioned with carved pillars of stone to create cages. This is the prison where those unfortunate are held captive.
Fire of LifeA little ways into the canyon between the nursery and Druid chamber is a large bonfire. It is always lit, rekindled and never going out unless it rains. This fire is sacred, being called the Fire of Life. It is here where the tradition of Setting Fire to Life takes place.
