Evolution Among the Uninfected
Those afflicted with the plague are not the only ones with differing traits. Pure creatures too have been affected by the Pandemonium Plague. Interspecific breeding and meddling from scientists has resulted in various traits occurring. These traits are more prone to certain species. There's a larger concentration of these traits among the Fidelis tribe, where they've presented for many generations. It's believed the strong lineages of the Fidelis tribe and the draw it has for those uninfected, has led to this higher concentration. Seeing these traits among outsiders is very rare and most can tie their lineage back to the uninfected tribe of Ground Zero.
These specific traits have not been observed on animals infected with the Pandemonium Plague. The scientists who took charge of the rapid interspecific hybridization had good intentions in mind. They hoped to find a cure for the plague or breed creatures who would be immune. This venture failed, but many of these hybrids lived on after the scientists and laboratory failed. They would survive and those not sterile would create families of their own. The exact types of hybrids who passed down these traits has long been forgotten. What's certain is the diversity it has offered for certain animal species. In some ways their experiments were on the right track, as creatures with the Pandemonium Plague are unable to develop any of these traits.

Limitations
There are limitations on the traits that a non-infected creature may have. This is primarily so things don't get too crazy and away from realism. There are also a few traits that are more rare and only available to get through our activity shop. Below you'll find the current list of limitations for certain traits
There may only be one trait per animal, no more.
The rare traits that must be purchased through activity are the only exception to this. Rare traits may be attached to any non-infected creature, even if they have a evolution trait already. Evolution traits can be passed down to offspring
Offspring may only inherit one trait and it must be one that either of the parents have. This includes rare traits as well. Only half of a litter is capable of being born with a evolution trait so not all of them will. It's up to the parents/designers to decide who gets which traits and who doesn't. In cases of uneven numbers of offspring, round down. (Example: A litter of four will only have two of the offspring show traits. A litter of five will have two offspring with traits and three without.) If both parents have evolution traits a single offspring can not inherit more than one of the parents traits. Each trait may spread evenly across the litter, however. The traits act independently and are given to half of the offspring when being passed on. (Example: Parent A has an eye trait. Parent B has bioluminescent markings. There are four pups in their litter. Two pups will get the eye trait. The other two will get the bioluminescent markings.) |
Iris & Pupil Types
An uncommon trait seen among the uninfected are abnormal eye difference when compared to normal. These changes primarily effect the iris and pupil, though one affects the sclera as well. These eye differences off no real advantages among the animals nor hinderance. Among the eye traits none are more common or rare than the next. They are seen evenly among the population.

Bioluminescence
This trait must be purchased through our Reward Shop with activity points.
Some creatures have patches of bioluminescence in varying patterns and markings. This is one of the oldest and well-known traits. It's believed to have appeared in the earliest generations of those who were born from test subjects. No one is entirely sure why this was something the scientists focused on. Many believe it had to do with easily identifying test subjects. Whatever the reasoning it is most prominent in the FIdelis tribes who's linages tie back to Ground Zero for many generations. Some bloodlines are well known and easily distinguishable due to their glowing markings.
The bioluminescence is never in large patches nor takes up large portions of the body. It is only ever seen in scarce patterns, most notably around the legs, shoulders and hips. Colors vary greatly with the most documented ones being blue, purple and red. The markings are usually defined in stripes, spotting or even delicate swirls. Bioluminescence is only ever one color, a creature will never have more than one color present of bioluminescence.

Plague Immunity
This trait must be purchased through our Reward Shop with activity points.
In their endeavors to find a cure to the plague the scientists created something else. While they may not have found a cure they did create an immunity gene. It's believed if they had been capable of pushing further before the collapse they may have very well succeeded in a cure. This is the closest the world has, however. Creatures born with this trait are unable to contract the Pandemonium Plague. They are not affected by bite wounds or contact with any infected fluids. It is perhaps one of the rarest traits to occur among those uninfected, but those who have it see it as a salvation.
